In Conversation With: Emily Rose Lansley, The Architect of Radiance
With a coveted client list that includes the luminous skin of Angelina Jolie, Florence Pugh and Nicole Kidman, Emily Rose Lansley, resident facialist at Soho House, offers a refreshing perspective on modern beauty and wellbeing: true radiance is cultivated from within.
Emily’s approach is a masterclass in all-encompassing skin health, seamlessly blending cutting-edge facial techniques with a deeply rooted belief in cellular nourishment, holistic wellness and inner balance. Her philosophy champions longevity, ritual and the idea that glow is a reflection of how we care for the body as a whole - not just the skin’s surface.
We sat down with Emily to uncover her rituals, decode her skin philosophy and explore why “feeding the skin from within” isn’t a fleeting beauty trend, but the foundation of lasting radiance and wellbeing.
You’ve worked with some of the most famous faces in the world. What is the one common thread you see in people who have truly "radiant" skin?
I would say by being consist with treating your body as a whole ecosystem. That ‘glow’ everyone wants is built from the inside out. Moving your body regularly, eating a whole-foods diet, staying hydrated, managing stress, and supporting yourself with the right vitamins. Skincare matters, of course, but use products that are intentional, and suited to your skin, avoid trend-hopping or overdoing it.

NÆRE often explores the "inner-to-outer" connection. How do you define the relationship between internal wellbeing and a healthy glow?
For me, the relationship between internal wellbeing and a healthy glow is inseparable. The skin is often the first place our body reflects what’s happening beneath the surface.
When the body is well nourished and supported from within, the skin responds with clarity, balance, and vitality.
Topical skincare enhances what’s already there, but true glow is the result of alignment. When you feel well, grounded, and cared for internally, it naturally expresses itself outwardly through the skin.
What are the absolute pillars of your skin philosophy - the things you refuse to compromise on?
Consistency is key. Regular treatments over aggressive one off’s/ trend driven routines.
Inside-out support; hydration, nutrition, optimal sleep and stress management.
The skin often changes with seasons, hormones, stress and life - listen to it.
Alongside that - vitamin C, SPF, hyaluronic acid and retinol are great to stimulate collagen and elastin and keep your skin looking youthful.
What's your go to prep for red carpet skin?
I always start with a thorough cleanse, followed by a good exfoliation and gentle extractions. Lymphatic drainage massage is a must - it helps to reduce puffiness, detoxify, and sculpt the face naturally.
I then lift the muscles using radio frequency and calm and repair the skin with LED light therapy. I always like to finish with buccal massage to lift the facial muscles and release any built-up tension, leaving the skin sculpted, calm, and red-carpet ready.

You hold residency at 180 House, what is the go to treatment that your clients are requesting that goes beyond a facial?
The go-to treatment clients are asking for is my Ritual 9 at 180 House.
It’s a full reset for skin, body, and energy. Ritual 9 combines advanced technology with deep restorative work - syncing with your heartbeat to recharge skin cells, stimulate circulation, support lymphatic detoxification, and deeply hydrate. It leaves the skin visibly firmer, brighter, and more sculpted. Clients leave feeling grounded, rebalanced, and completely renewed.
It’s not just a facial - it’s a ritual.

You are known for a bespoke touch. How do you balance the use of high-tech tools with more holistic solutions like ingestibles or facial massage?
For me, it’s always been about balance. High-tech tools are incredible for targeting specific skin concerns; lifting, repairing, stimulating collagen, and accelerating results - but they work best when they’re layered with more holistic practices.
I like to use technology to help stimulate the skin, and holistic solutions like facial massage, lymphatic drainage, and ingestibles to support it. Massage helps regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, and release tension, while ingestibles nourish the skin from within and enhance the longevity of the results.
How important is feeding our skin, hair, nails with a hydrolysed collagen + greens powder like NÆRE? And what is the one topical you would pair with Nectar 01 to achieve optimal results?
Feeding our skin, hair, and nails from the inside out with a beauty supplement drink like NÆRE is just as important as what we apply topically to our skin.
When you support daily collagen formation, antioxidant protection, hydration, and cellular energy internally, the skin looks fresher, the hair stronger, and nails more resilient.
If I had to pair NÆRE Nectar 01 with one topical for optimal results, it would be a vitamin C serum. Vitamin C amplifies brightness, protects against environmental stress, and supports collagen - perfectly complementing the nourishment you’re giving internally with NÆRE.
What is the "beauty myth" you find yourself constantly debunking in the treatment room?
I’m constantly debunking the idea that great skin comes from quick fixes or extremes. Real, lasting results come from consistency, patience, and supporting the skin properly internally and externally. Over-treating, over-exfoliating, or constantly switching products usually does more harm than good.
What is the one unexpected practice or product that you would recommend as a skin saviour?
Daily lymphatic drainage - it’s one of the most underrated skin saviours.
People are often surprised by how much congestion, dullness, and puffiness are linked to sluggish lymph flow. Supporting it through gentle facial massage or compression therapy doesn’t just sculpt it improves circulation and helps the skin detoxify. When lymph is moving well, the skin looks clearer, brighter, and more alive - often more so than with another serum on the shelf.
Walk me through a typical morning or evening for you? The time that you get for yourself - What does your own self care routine look like?
I like to wake up early and start my day slowly. The first thing I do is drink water to hydrate, then I have my coffee before taking my dog, Bleu, out for a walk - it’s my way of getting fresh air and grounding myself before the day begins.
When I get back, I have breakfast, which is almost always overnight oats with Form protein powder and fruit - simple, nourishing, and consistent.
Then I shower, do my skincare routine, and head to the gym. Even if I only have 30 minutes, I make sure I move my body in some way.
That quiet morning ritual sets the tone for the rest of my day, it’s my non-negotiable self-care, and once that’s done, I’m ready to get on with everything else.

What does "living well" mean to you right now, in this season of your life?
Living well for me right now means simplicity, consistency and feeling grounded.
It’s about honouring my daily routines, moving my body, nourishing myself properly, prioritising sleep, and protecting my energy to help me feeling good in my body, clear in my mind, and present in my day-to-day.

After the treatment is complete, what is the most satisfying element of your work?
The most satisfying part has always been seeing how my client feels after their treatment.
It’s not just the visible glow or lifted skin, although that’s always rewarding. It’s the moment when a client exhales, their shoulders drop, and they look calmer, lighter, more connected to themselves.
Knowing that I’ve helped someone feel more confident, restored, and grounded in their own skin is what makes the work truly fulfilling.
For those seeking to simplify: what are the three daily essential rituals to truly foster radiance?
It can be as simple as hydrating and nourishing from within. By starting the day with water, eating nutrient-dense food, and support your body with the right supplements.
Protecting and supporting the skin barrier by maintaining a consistent skincare routine focused on protection (SPF) and antioxidants (vitamin C).
And daily movement, even gently, paired with breath, walking, or quiet moments helps circulation, lymphatic flow, and stress regulation - all of which directly show up in the skin.
When these are in balance, radiance becomes effortless rather than forced.
